Alumni Memorial Scholarship

We never forget the special people who have touched our hearts and made a difference in our lives.

To help celebrate the special connections between Skidmore alumni, Skidmore College, in partnership with Harold Herz ’89 and Anne Margiloff Wargo ’89, is pleased to announce a new collective Alumni Memorial Scholarship to honor the legacy of alumni who have gone before us, while providing today’s students with financial aid, which is a pressing priority.

By making a gift to Skidmore in memory of a friend or classmate who has passed away, you pay tribute to their spirit with a lasting impact and help to support a Skidmore student today.

The Alumni Memorial Scholarship creates a permanent legacy at Skidmore College for alumni who are no longer with us and provides important current financial support for students who need it most.

"Respecting the past by honoring the future has always been an important credo in our family. One of the strongest ways we can honor their memory is by creating opportunities for Skidmore students. I am proud to be a part of this effort and hope to create a meaningful legacy for Skidmore.”

“In the spring of 2014, we lost my dear friend Jennifer Landers ’90 to cancer. Because she cared deeply about Skidmore, her family and a core group of her friends including me endowed a fund at Skidmore to honor her memory and support current students in perpetuity.  With this in mind, and Jennifer’s fund as a model, I’m so pleased to have been able to work with the College on the creation and funding of this Alumni Memorial Scholarship.  Now all alumni will have an opportunity to honor lost friends and classmates by helping to make a Skidmore education possible for current students who might not otherwise be able to take advantage of the opportunity.  I hope that you will consider joining me in this effort.”
